INTRODUCTION

Martin Treder is a biotech executive with 20 years of professional experience in the management of oncology preclinical research and early development, responsible for establishing and driving several innovative preclinical programs. After completing his Ph.D. work in Axel Ullrich´s group at the Max-Planck Institute for Biochemistry in Germany, he co-founded U3 Pharma AG in Munich, Germany, a biotech spin-off from the Max-Planck Institute focusing specifically on signal transduction in high market-potential hyper-proliferative diseases such as cancer, where he was responsible for developing the company´s lead product U3-1287, a fully human anti-HER3 monoclonal antibody.

Following the acquisition of U3 Pharma by Daiichi Sankyo, he co-founded and served as CSO for CT Atlantic in Zurich, Switzerland, a company with a reverse translational immunotherapy focus. CT Atlantic focused on the identification and development of human-derived monoclonal antibodies for the treatment of cancer. Using its proprietary technology platform BCDTech®, the company identified and characterized human antibodies against CT antigens and other targets of interest.

Dr. Treder then served as CSO at Affimed, a clinical stage and publicly listed biopharmaceutical company that engineers targeted immunotherapies, seeking to improve patient outcomes through the power of innate immunity. The Company is developing single and combination therapies to treat cancers. Core responsibilities included preclinical development, translational science and establishing the company´s fit-for-purpose ROCK® platform which allows innate immune engagers to be designed and developed for specific patient populations.
